Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of mental health services.

Under federal law, healthcare providers are required to give clients who are not using insurance (or who are self-paying) an estimate of expected charges for services.

What This Means for You

  • You may request a Good Faith Estimate before starting services or at any time

  • The estimate will include expected costs for scheduled services

  • Actual charges may vary based on your needs, frequency of sessions, or changes to your treatment plan

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the charges.
